Can we rewrite the headings for our own context?
What is a Deep Learning Progression?
A Deep Learning Progression is a description of how knowledge and skills look a student at different levels, as they develop the skills of deep learning.
What it is really expected of schools?

Schools have four sets of obligations – developing and supporting partnerships, change leadership, teaching practices, and new measures (see diagram below)

& nbsp;

What is a signature?
A rubric is a description of how performance is assessed at different levels of performance.
The headings have been used in education to qualify the students’ work, such as essays and assignments. They are also used in many disciplines to assess the strengths and needs, performance evaluation, recruitment, and evaluation of products, services, portfolio, proposals, projects, programs and policies.
Are the headings of the progressions of Deep Learning reliable and valid? Why use Deep Learning progressions rather than qualifications?
The content of the rubrics are based on cutting-edge research and expertise of Dr. Michael Fullan and the Directors of the Global Alliance, and other well-established research both education and large-scale change.
To ensure validity, utility and viability, these tools will be tested by 20,000 teachers, 1,000 schools and 10 educational systems and groups around the world. Based on their feedback, we will be reviewing and improving the tools to be robust and easy to use as possible.
Unlike many other tools developed in education and other social sciences, it is not possible to use existing measures such as standardized tests to validate a tool specifically designed to evaluate deep learning.
Standardized tests measure the content and the ability to apply learned procedures. Deep learning is fundamentally different, and involves the creation of knowledge and solutions in a context where there is no predetermined right answer. Measures ‘old’ achievements do not measure the depth learning at all, and can not be used to validate a
result as qualitatively different student learning.
How much evidence do we need to make a recommendation on the headings or Deep Learning progressions?
In general, sufficient evidence is needed to justify that classification is correctly positioned, instead of a higher level or a lower level.
Use the same ‘level test’ would normally use in this context as a professional. As a teacher doing the evaluation, it is good practice to use a solid mixture of formal and informal evidence from a variety of sources. As a leader, you could also use a variety of evidence to inform decisions on where to concentrate efforts and resources.
As for evidence to use, we must seize the sources that are most feasible and valid for your circumstances and context of decision making.
